Police search for missing elderly Risca couple
Police are looking for an elderly Risca couple who are missing. Patricia Sarah Pugh, aged 67 and who is known as Sarah, and her 70-year-old husband Robert Isaac Pugh were last seen at their home address in Risca at 9.40am on Saturday September 19. They couple are believed to be travelling in a silver Vauxhall Astra Estate, registration number CA09 LFO. |

Around 200 car cruisers turned up to have one last drive through Blackwood High Street on Thursday. The Safer Caerphilly Partnership held a special car cruising event last week to publicise the High Street being closed on Thursday nights. Gwent police led and organised a “last cruise” through the High Street before leading the boy racers to the council’s Pontllanfraith House. |

A woman who collapsed after being rescued from a burning house has been taken to hospital. The 26-year-old was taken to the Prince Charles Hospital in Merthyr Tydfil after being overcome with smoke at her house in Upper Bargoed. |

A 30-year-old woman has been arrested and question on suspicion of concealing the birth of a baby after a body was found at an empty house at Farm View, Pengam, by council workers. Workers from Caerphilly County Borough Council found the baby’s body as they cleaned out the house on Tuesday morning. |
