Public urged to have their views on police plan
People are being urged to send in their views on Government plans to reform policing. The Police Reform and Social Responsibility Bill, if passed into law, would scrap police authorities from 2012 and replace them with elected Police and Crime Commissioners, who would hold the police to account on behalf of the public. |
New nursery in Gelligaer to open after council help
A former stables set in the grounds of an old rectory is to open as a nursery in the New Year after help from Caerphilly Council. |
Plaid Cymru pledges two-year council tax freeze
Councillors on Plaid Cymru-led Caerphilly County Borough Council have pledged to freeze council tax for the next two years.
