Gwent Police is appealing for information after 1.2km of copper cable was stolen in the Risca area.

The cable was taken from an electrical post with the theft reported to police on the morning of Wednesday August 25.

Building services company SCS Group is expanding with a new Birmingham office.

The Tredomen-based firm, one of the UK’s leading providers of building management, ventilation and smoke control, will operate from a new base at The Innovation Centre in Longbridge Technology

The company has installed its systems in thousands of buildings nationwide.

97.9% GCSE pass rate for Caerphilly pupils

Pupils across Caerphilly County Borough have today been celebrating their excellent GCSE results.

61% of pupils who sat the exams this year got five GCSE passes at A* to C grade, or vocational equivalent, up from 54% in 2009.

Caravans stolen from lock-up in Pontlottyn

 

Police are appealing for information after two caravans were stolen from the Pontlottyn area.

The caravans were stolen from GBR at Capital Valley Eco Park, which is a locked caravan storage unit.
