As part of the Festival of British Archaeology, Llancaiach Fawr Manor is holding a special Archaeology Day on Sunday July 17.
There will be activities for children, talks, a finds table, a metal detector survey and a display of photos taken during the excavation by Channel 4′s Time Team in June 2010.
Cardiff Archaeology Unit will be present to talk about their work and – weather-permitting – will open a small trench to continue the quest for answers about this intriguing site while children can make Bronze Age-style pots and wheel-thown pots.
This is a free event and will run from 11am to 4pm.
