Businesspeople in Caerphilly will get the chance to grill prospective Assembly candidates when they take to the hustings next month.

Caerphilly Business Forum is hosting the free event, with the Labour AM Jeff Cuthbert, the Conservatives’ Owen Meredith, Kay David of the Liberal Democrats and Ron Davies, for Plaid Cymru, on April 6.

Andrew Diplock, chairman of Caerphilly Business Forum, is chairing the event at Bryn Meadows Golf, Hotel and Spa at Maesycwmmer, near Ystrad Mynach, between 11.30am and 1.30pm.

The election itself is taking place on May 5.

A spokesman for the Forum said: “If you have a question or business issue you wish to raise with our would-be leaders, make sure you come along to this event as it is a real opportunity to make sure your views are heard and to witness first hand debates between all candidates.”
