Caerphilly County Borough Council’s Trading Standards Service will be holding a free child car seat safety check at the ASDA store in Caerphilly on Friday August 5 between 9.30am and 4pm.

The aim of the event is to raise awareness about the lack of protection provided by an unsuitable or badly fitted car seat.

A similar event last year found that 68% of seats tested required some adjustment or were not suitable for the vehicle in which they were fitted.
