Melt City, Tab 80, Best Served Chilled and One Track Mind will take to the stage at Caerphilly Rugby Club to help launch Megaday 2011 on Sunday May 29.
Now in its 17th year, the annual two-day music festival is being held August Bank Holiday weekend on Saturday 27 and Sunday 28.
Megaday started in 1995 as a tribute to a close friend and fellow musician Andrew Nichols who lost his battle with cancer. Andrew Nichols was known to his friends as Mega (thus the name Megaday). In August 2001 we also lost Paul Grahame (PG) to cancer. Paul had played at every Megaday with his band PG and the Tips and had also played a major role in the organisation of every Megaday.
All proceeds from the two-day event will go to Velindre Hospital.
Sunday’s launch night starts at 5.30pm and costs £4 entry. Again, every penny raised goes to Velindre Hospital
