Crosskeys man in court charged with dangerous driving after road death

A 22-year-old Crosskeys man has appeared in court charged with causing death by dangerous driving after a man’s body was found dead in a road.
Jamie Gray, of Garden Suburbs, was remanded in custody by Caerphilly Magistrates on Wednesday and faces five charges in connection with the death of 27-year-old Ian Hamilton.

Ian Hamilton, 27, who also known as Parker Hamilton, was found dead on the side of the road between Oakdale and Pontllanfraith
Mr Hamilton, 27, who was also known as Parker, was found dead at the side of Penmaen Road, between Oakdale and Pontllanfraith in the early hours of Sunday July 17.
Gray is charged with:
- Causing death by dangerous driving
- Fail to stop after a road accident
- Fail to report a road accident
- Driving with no insurance
- Driving otherwise than in accordance with a licence
He is due to appear at Newport Crown Court on August 11 at 9.15am.
Gwent Police originally said the man was from the Risca area.
