Safer Caerphilly Volunteer Network looking for members

Published in News on Friday November 18th, 2011

A network of dedicated volunteers helping make Caerphilly County Borough a safe place to live, work and visit is appealing for new members.

The Safer Caerphilly Volunteer Network, which comprises more than 200 volunteers, meets on a regular basis with Community Safety Partnership officials to discuss how they can continue to play a key role in helping to tackle crime, disorder and anti-social behaviour in the area.

Cllr Rob Gough, Cabinet Member for Public Protection said: “This dedicated group of volunteers continue to make a positive difference in our communities, and their local knowledge is invaluable in establishing key issues in their local areas.”

The Safer Caerphilly Volunteer Network acts as a direct link between crime and disorder fighting agencies and the communities they serve in Caerphilly county borough.

If you are interested in becoming a member of the Safer Caerphilly Volunteer Network, or to find out more, please contact Natalie Kenny on 01495 235442.
