Police appeal over Phillipstown burglary

Gwent Police is appealing for information following a burglary at a property in Phillipstown, New Tredegar, sometime between 12.30pm and 4.30pm on Saturday March 10.

A hotel-style electronic safe was stolen from the property in Jones Street, Phillipstown.

Inside the safe was a quantity of cash, silver pocket watches, and a silver brooch depicting the Royal Navy’s HMS Ocean ship.

Officers would like to appeal for any information regarding the incident or anyone who saw anything suspicious in the area at the time to call 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
