Second Severn Crossing resurfacing work postponed
Resurfacing and waterproofing work due to take place between June 9 and July 14 on the M4 Second Severn Crossing have been postponed until September.
Severn River Crossing Plc (SRC), who operates and maintains both Severn Crossings under an agreement with the Highways Agency, has postponed the eastbound resurfacing of lane one due to “technical” difficulties.
Following consultation with the Highways Agency, SRC agreed that to continue would have risked the works running into the school summer holidays.
Details of the new dates are to published by the Highways Agency soon.
