Police appeal over Greggs Bakery and Beano’s cafe break-in

Police are appealing for information after Greggs Bakery and Beano’s Cafe, both situated in Caerphilly town, were broken into.

The two break-ins were reported to police in the early hours of today (Tuesday) at about 4am.

Police said the safe in Greggs, in Cardiff Road, had been tampered with but was not opened.

The safe at Beano’s Coffee Shop, also on Cardiff Road, was opened but, according to Gwent Police, it is not known how much money was stolen.
